Self-Defense and Karate classes go hand in hand but the benefits of Karate go way beyond that.

What you will learn from our lessons?

Self-Defense and Karate classes go hand in hand but the benefits of Karate go way beyond that.

Karate instills confidence, perseverance, self-discipline, and respect to all, and proves to filter through into all areas of life.  It is a self-development program disguised as a fighting art. Self-Defense, MMA, Judo, and various martial arts all show themselves in the sport of Karate and are for young and old, fit and unfit, novice or advanced.

Getting fit and learning how to defend themselves are direct consequences of learning karate. We teach self-defense and also incorporate weapons training with the nunchakus.

Feeling at home is important!

We cater for beginners from as young as 5 years old in our Ninjas class, all the way to adults wanting to rekindle their childhood passion or people wanting to learn self-defense.

Sensei Dirk is a sixth Dan and has been doing Karate for 46 years. He loves to teach and share his knowledge and experience with everyone. He has two children and one of the reasons he is also passionate about self-defense.

Earning a Black Belt is an incredibly meaningful and profound experience, and many who’ve practiced karate for decades still remember their Black Belt test as a pivotal moment in their training.
